My day was okay. I got to "Beautful Face" around 10. Your dad got there at the exact same time. We had a relatively easier day. I cut the rest of my ceiling tiles while your dad handle business with the alarm guy. We took an early lunch at 11:35 and went to Mr. Sushi. I had the vegetable yakisobi and you dad had the teriyaki chicken. While we ate we talk about an employee you dad had in Colorado Springs. Your dad couldn't remember his name, but he thought it was "Dwayne." Dwayne was once an engineering student at the Colorado School of Mines and your father said that he was supposedly quite smart. Unfortunately, Dwayne got into hard drugs and ended up dropping out of school. By the time your dad hired him he said that he was a recovering addict and he had cooked his brain. It is a sad, but your dad told me a funny story about working with Dwayne. Your dad and Dwayne were working on a tenant finish in Colorado Springs. Dwayne was usually put to work cleaning the job site. Your dad's confidence in Dwayne grew after working with him, so he ask him to switch the blade of a saw and cut out a piece of drywall that was damaged. After instructing him on how to do so your father went back to work and left Dwayne unsupervised. What your dad didn't see is that Dwayne had selected the longest blade for the saw and proceeded to cut through the entire wall. Dwayne cut through drywall, studs, and insulation. Dwayne's saw blade was so long that it cut legs off of desks on the other side of the wall. Down the line, desks fell. Haha! Your dad and I had a pretty good laugh and went back to work. I spent the rest of the day prepping the floor for vinyl tile and throwing mud with your dad.
I drove home and started to get lonely. It almost felt like you hadn't left. Talking to you during your layover normalized driving you to the airport and comforted me for most of the day. Nights are the hardest. I get lonely and the babies miss you. The house is quiet without you. Sigh.
The dogs and I went for a walk. It was very pretty and the dogs rolled in the grass. We came across the cone dogs again. The dog that was going crazy yesterday escaped his cone but didn't act so tough once he wasn't constrained. Our babies were good and sat patiently. We walked by Lil' Gill's place. He was sitting at the mouth of his garage with this O.G. looking guy. As we walked by, Lil Gill's friend was lifting his shirt, which revealed some gangster looking tattoos. Everyone acknowledge each other, but Lil' Gill was more reserved than usual. No "God Bless Yous" but Lil Gill's friend did say "nice dogs."
I got a pizza at the grocery store and ate it for dinner. The cats had some tuna. Clarke pigged out and finished Dorian's. The Chubster was out chubbed. That grey :)
That is where I leave you tonight. I am planning on working in the studio tonight and mowing the grass in the morning. I miss you so much. I hope you found your way to Saas Fe with ease. You are going to do so great! I am excited to start hearing news of your classes. I love you so much my wife. I am so very proud of you. Get rested so you can learn, learn, learn! One day down!
P.S. Here are some picture from today. Just some things I thought you would like to see. The bike is inspirational for a sculpture.
