Hey Baby,

The day is ending so I am writing you.

I hope you had a pleasant end to your day, my love. I hope your new class is more interesting than the last. I am excited to hear about it. I am excited by every thought I have of you. Was dinner bland again? Do they use salt? Are you getting more busy as your time there starts to wind down? I miss you. I wish I was there with you. Being eight hours delayed from your experience makes me feel like I am being stretched across the planet. Soon enough I will be relieved of this uncomfortable posture, my love!

My day wasn't very eventful. I was at the house for most of the day. I worked on reorganizing my website, and caught up on some rest. I feel better about my website, but I still feel like it could use some finesse. The images look better and I can put more information about the work. I need an artist statement still and I have been thinking about it lately. I am still feel like I am floating on the edge of concepts that could describe my practice. I wish you were here to help me refine my thoughts.

I went down to the tire shop around 4:00. I dropped the car off and decided to kick around the 16th st mall. I hadn't eaten yet, so I sat out for some lunch. There is nothing decent to eat on that mall. I ended up at a little Japanese "fast food" place. It wasn't very good. I imagine it losing to your dinners in a food contest. After that I continued to walk around the mall. I tried to take some pictures, but the mall isn't the most photogenic place. My suspicion that everyone is a photographer was reaffirmed while I strolled down the mall. Seeing all those dad's with cameras turned me off of taking pictures. I got the hunger for some ice cream, so I stopped and enjoyed a chocolate shake at a diner. It was delicious and I was really enjoying myself until the tire people called. They said there were two nails in the back tires :( Gotta get a whole new set. I will do it tomorrow. It is good and bad. Bad because I will be broke, but good because the car will have brand new tires :)

I came home feeling unlucky. I walked the dogs shortly after I got home. Today we went south. Instead of going the usual way we went the opposite and walked along the creek. It was nice, we got to go out a little earlier than usual because the sky was over cast. We almost walked to Alameda. It is quite cute a little further down from where we usually stop. We made our way back and I made dinner for the three of us. The dogs had their usually and I had pancakes. I worked a little more on my website and made a little video. Like I said, it was a pretty uneventful day.

Our walk.

I look forward to tomorrow. I want to get some images from the track and hang out with my mom.

The days are winding down. After having spent almost three weeks with out you, I feel like you will be home soon! I am so excited. I told you before that I might explode when I see you and I feel that more so now. Being connected with you has made the second part of your trip more bearable, but it is forever a distant second to being in your presence. I wish we could of had our last conversation physically. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. I hope you have an excellent day and learn lots.

I love you my wife.

Your husband.

p.s. sorry for lack of pictures, I was kind of underwhelmed by what I saw today. More tomorrow!

  1. My sweet husband,

I miss seeing your photographs. I hope you have some for me today. I just looked at your website with my roommate Barbara. We both like it. I think that you should put the two dimensional work on the bottom and list the 3D stuff first. Also, why is it 2D and 3D? Should it day 2D and installation/ sculpture..... I'm not sure about that now that I wrote it. Anyway its something to think about.

Dinner last night was bland, but my breakfast was good... I had granola. Today's class was kind of interesting. My professor is Geert Lovink, today we discussed social media. You should watch this video.
