This is Sadi Carnot. He discovered the second law of thermodynamics and wrote Reflections on the Motive Power of Fire. Macus Ahlers made this sculpture using some of Carnot's idea's.
I was looking at the NY Times and saw this article "Greater L.A." in NY Nice show of objects.
One more day down and the beginning of school. It was a pretty uneventful day. I went to work and did some data entry. Woof.
Ate a hotdog for lunch on a park bench. On my way through the park I saw these birds. One momma bird, and two babies. The momma bird was cruising around finding food while the babies followed her. The babies would peep. When the mother bird found food she would turn around and feed it to one of the babies, whose mouth was wide open in anticipation.
The was the best part of my day while I was in Boulder.
After work I came home and fed the dogs. They also received a plentiful amount of cookies and a chew. Pig dogs. I then went to the garage and dismantled that desk and freed up some space, Sally Louise can go out the back door. It will be very convenient. I tried to organize everything I would need to do to get Millennial Boy Band back into production.
We went to Wash again this evening. It wasn't as beautiful as last night but we arrived after the sun set. We walked the perimeter. That is the first time we have walk along the outside on our own. While we were walking, I thought about how you were sleeping and how it was night here. I figured since the Sun was down the trees were sleeping. It was comforting to know that you and these trees were sleeping at the same time. I also thought about you dreaming and tried to appear in your dreams. I sent all my love to dreaming wife :)
I think it is time for me to turn in. It is getting warmer at night so I am sleeping naked with no blankets. Summertime like Will Smith in Denver. I posted a video I made with the fam earlier in the year.

From fairest creatures we desire increase,
That thereby beauty's rose might ever die,
But as the riper should by time decease,
His tender heir might might bear his memory:
But thou, contracted to thine own bright eyes,
Feed'st thy light's flames with self-substantial fuel,
Making a famine where abundance lies,
Thyself thy foe, to thy sweet self too cruel.
Thou art now the world's freshest ornament
And only herald to the gaudy spring
Within thine own bud buriest thy content,
And, tender churl, mak'st waste in niggarding.
Pity the world, or else this glutton be,
To eat the world's due, by the grave and thee.
It sounds like you had a busy day. I love the video of you and Moo. She is such a sweet little girl. Can you post more videos of you guys?
ReplyDeleteToday was okay. I am super exhausted and trying not to sleep until tonight... we will see how class goes this afternoon. I have DJ Spooky and a NYU architecture prof all day today. So far it has been okay. Kind of chaotic.
I went for a walk after lunch. It is soooo beautiful here. The rain finally let up and everything is this crazy color of green. I need to take some pictures to show you.
Anyway, I've got to run... i need to prepare for class. I miss you tons and I cant wait to talk to you next.
