Hey baby hey baby hey!
One more day down I guess. Today is the half way mark.
I hope that you are taking good care of yourself. You must be so tired by the end of your day. I wish I were there to kiss you. Purrr puurrrr puurrrrrr :) Are you consistently writing papers now? Do you have have class through the weekend? I haven't read about the walkie talkie's yet, but I plan on doing so tomorrow. I have been so busy with work. I have to go in tomorrow :( I have already worked 43 hours.
I am helping Gustavo Artigas. He is a Mexican artist. He is nice and polite. He has been to Switzerland a couple of times. Gustavo said that the northern part of Mexico thinks that people from Mexico City speak in poetry, instead of getting to the point. I like that idea, even though poetry is used in a derogatory manner. We are installing a racing track in the gallery, where the paintings were. It is very heavy material he is using. He hurt his back day before yesterday trying to move it. I don't fully understand the piece, but it supposed to be a performance and visitors can take a baton? I don't know really. I think it'll make more sense when it is happening. The rest of the show has potential as well. Seth Wulsin is making a geodesic dome with mirrors. I hope he is ready for all the Clark questions and comparisons. I think it will be a very beautiful object. Laleh and Chris have a lot to do. It is a very complicated install process, I do not envy them. I am curious to see if it pays off.
I am beginning to grow tired of driving. I sit in traffic and feel like I am in Office Space. I get so anxious when I get close to the house. I just want to be home by the time I am off of the highway. Highways are no place for people. Highways are good for cars, but not people.
I came home today and took a nap before dinner with the fam. I fell asleep so fast. I was only asleep for about 45 minutes. When I woke up I felt nauseous. I think my body was shutting down for a good long rest, and didn't like waking up after such a short amount of sleep.
We ate at restaurant called El Tapito. It is arcoss the street from Bel Mar. It was a nice place. There was a mariachi band. It was so loud. Katy looks like she is about to have a baby. She said six weeks. Theia is holding strong as a possible name. Ben can't stand that you might name the baby ;) You owe me big time ;) Your dad had a margarita. He ordered a medium and it was bigger than a bowl of soup.
After dinner I came home and walked the dogs. It was a pleasant uneventful walk. We walked down to the bean tag. The clouds were so beautiful.
After the walk I went to see Tree of Life with Drew, Kate, Colin and Stephan.
The movie opened with:
"Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;"
It is a verse from Job. I would like to read the Bible one day, as well as the Koran. The movie was okay. I don't want to tell you too much incase you want to see it. A lot of really beautiful images with astounding scale. There was a moth on the screen that would periodically flutter around the theater. Towards the end of the movie another moth landed on the projector. It was of a nice release from such a heavy movie.
Anyway. That is the tale of my day. I hope you have a good day my love. I am off to bed. Another day at Bmoca tomorrow. A studio day is coming soon, I know it :) I hope you can tell me about what you are doing if you can spare the time. It is the highlight of my day.
I wish the internet was not so ethereal. If only the internet could close the physical space between us. I want to have you close to me again. I hope you have an excellent day.
Here is a, super cheese ball so embarrassed to have it public on the internet, video of me:
