This is how I started my day. New socks.

I got to work and entered more data. Totally thrilling day. When I was on my way home I day started to recover. Traffic was slow, but a hawk flew right in front of the windshield. It swooped down out of nowhere with its wing spread wide. What a regal bird. After that, traffic stalled up for another ten minutes and just as the pace started to pick up I saw that Bald Eagle again. It did not have anything this time and was taking advantage of the wind gusts. I watched it as long as I could.

I got into the hood. I stopped at the light on 8th and Federal and this truck pulls up behind me. The truck had two men in the cab and on the dashboard between them there was a messy pile of papers and a skull. The skull was missing its lid. While I was taking the picture the guy on the right was hanging his arm way outside the window. I don't know if they saw me taking pictures, but it would be a strange conversation if I had to explain why I was taking their picture.

I got home and it was too hot to take the dogs out. We hung out and watched the basketball game until it cooled off a bit. We walked down by the Platte. What a funny word "Platte." We saw fireworks and another Night Heron. The dogs dipped their toes again. We saw a Wheaton that was a giant puff! We walked over the river on the bridge by the rapids. There was an almost perfect reflection of the Speer bridge on the Platte. It was sooooooo good! I wish you could have seen it. The dogs liked it, then we came home and told Clarke about it and she liked it. HOTDOG! After we made our loop we came down the hill by the Baseball Lofts. Moo slid all the way down it on her back :D

I got a clock tonight, so I know what time it is where you are. Right now it is 6:45 in the morning in Switzerland and it is 11:45 here. I hope you are getting the rest you needed. I know you will be busy tomorrow and I wont be in Boulder. I am helping Jim and Jennifer tomorrow. I will probably be home until eleven. I hope I can catch you online. God, I miss you. Another day down :)

I love you my wife. Good night.

Your husband.

  1. My love, you are so sweet getting a clock. Its a good looking clock too. Where did you get it? I wish I could watch the videos you made, for some reason they are showing as "private."

Yesterday was exhausting again. :) I had a RMCAD presentations form 12pm - 2:30am, I was falling asleep by the end of it. The proposals were okay, one sculpture was a light pink Donald-Judd like piece... thats the one I'm voting for. Campus planning is not for it though, its made of concrete, and I guess concrete off-gasses a lot and is not good for our environment. We will see what happens.

I am in DJ Spook's class again today. I have him for 12 hours today.

I tried to hook up my cell phone to upload all of my photos, but the two devices are not communicating. I want you to see how green it is out here. Oh, and all of the sheep, they are white with pink spraypainted butts. They walk around clanking the bells around their neck and eating the lime green colored grass.

The wild flowers here are beautiful. Here are some links to my favorites...

  2. Also, that photo with the skull is totally freaky. What the heck is going on in the hood?!?

And you should print the image of the BMOCA floor, its so gentile.

  3. I got the clock at McGuckin's in Boulder.

I think I might put the extra skull on the dash. Try and fit in the the hood.

I would consider printing the BMOCA floor if all the junk weren't in it. I swear that window is in perfect alignment with the sun.

Those flowers are insane! So beautiful. I wish you could bring some of that home. I am excited to see pictures.

    What are the proposals for?

I don't where you went when we were chatting earlier :(

    I got to run.

    Love you my wife.

    Your husband.
